Worker killed at Geelong workshop

A worker was discovered at a North Shore workplace, near Geelong in Victoria, on Friday after suffering fatal injuries.

It is believed the man in his seventies was working alone, and early reports suggest his clothing became caught in machinery.

He was unable to be revived after being discovered by co-workers.

WorkSafe Victoria has confirmed the fatality and that it is investigating the incident.

Work Safe Victoria is now investigating the incident.

The death brings the workplace fatality toll to 59 for 2020, five more than at the same time last year.
