Worker trapped in meat slicer at Queensland business

A worker has been flown to hospital after a workplace incident at a business west of Brisbane today.

Fire and rescue crews and paramedics attended the address in Plainland on the Warrego highway around 8:30 am after reports of a worker having his arms trapped in a meat slicer.

It took emergency services half an hour to free the worker, but he sustained significant injuries to his arms and hand.

The worker underwent emergency surgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital and is reported to be in a stable condition.
