Worker killed in crush incident near Dubbo, NSW

An elderly worker has died in a critical incident in Tenandra, near Dubbo, on Monday afternoon.

The worker was killed when a large piece of machinery fell from a truck and crushed him at the worksite around 5:30 pm.

NSW Ambulance confirmed that two crews were dispatched to the site to treat the man for critical injuries to his chest and torso, and a critical care helicopter was also dispatched but didn’t land.

The man died shortly after emergency services arrived at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified, and both NSW Police and SafeWork NSW are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
