Critical incident in rural Queensland

Two workers have been injured after being struck by heavy machinery at a regional Queensland worksite this morning.

Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter, were dispatched to the industrial site just before 10:30 this morning at Taroom, in the Western Downs.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said that while one patient was treated for minor injuries, the other was treated with precaution for a suspected spinal injury.

Both workers have been reported as being in a ‘stable condition’, but both of the workers were transported by helicopter to hospital.
Initial reports suggest that the workers were struck by a grain feeder.
