Trinitas Group

Sydney Airport, Qantas Hangers

Project description

Trinitas Group was engaged by Hunter Mason as the Principal Occupational Hygienist for the removal of asbestos lagging from structural beams in Qantas Hangars 171 and 245 at Sydney Airport. This high-risk project involved working within active aircraft maintenance hangars, where strict safety protocols, minimal operational disruption, and full regulatory compliance were essential. Trinitas provided expert occupational hygiene oversight throughout the asbestos removal works, in close collaboration with the remediation contractor Aztech Services Australia.

Our scope of works included enclosure assessments and smoke tests, asbestos identification and reporting, asbestos control air monitoring, remediation scope of works, and visual asbestos clearance inspections and certificates. Through rigorous air monitoring, detailed documentation, and thorough clearance procedures, Trinitas ensured the safe removal of asbestos lagging from the beams while maintaining the highest safety standards in this sensitive aviation environment.
