Trinitas Group was engaged as the Principal Occupational Hygienist for the asbestos management works during the major redevelopment of the iconic Sirius building in The Rocks, Sydney. Designed in 1978–79 by Dutch-born architect Tao Gofers for the NSW Housing Commission, Sirius is a landmark example of Brutalist architecture. It was constructed in 1979 as public housing to rehouse long-term working-class residents who had been displaced by the controversial redevelopment of The Rocks in the 1960s and 1970s.

Our scope of works included enclosure assessments and smoke tests, asbestos identification and reporting, asbestos control and clearance air monitoring, remediation scope of works, and visual asbestos clearance inspections and certificates. Working closely with principal contractor Richard Crookes Construction and remediation contractor Aztech Services Australia, Trinitas provided expert occupational hygiene oversight in this highly sensitive heritage and inner-city environment. Through rigorous air monitoring, detailed documentation, and thorough clearance procedures, Trinitas ensured all asbestos-related works were carried out to the highest safety standards and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
