Remembrance Park, Lidcombe
Project description
Trinitas Group was engaged to provide comprehensive contaminated land and environmental consulting services for the upgrade of Remembrance Park in Lidcombe. This significant community project is revitalising a key public open space in Western Sydney. The upgrade includes a new modern playspace, an improved amenities building, enhanced landscaping, and better recreational facilities, all while preserving and honouring the park’s historical role as a place of remembrance.
Our team delivered a full suite of services to safely manage historical contamination risks, particularly asbestos, throughout the remediation and construction phases. This ensured the project could proceed safely and deliver a vibrant, family-friendly park for local residents.
Trinitas Group completed a Detailed Site Investigation and prepared a Remediation Action Plan to guide the works. We carried out Waste Analysis and Classification, asbestos control air monitoring, asbestos clearance inspections and certificates, and marker layer inspections. In addition, we provided ongoing remediation management, Material Import Assessments, prepared the Site Remediation Validation Report, and developed the Long Term Environmental Management Plan. These services ensured full regulatory compliance and successful site validation.
The upgrade works commenced in late 2025 and are expected to be completed in 2026, resulting in a high-quality community asset for the residents of Cumberland.
