Critical incident at Brisbane worksite

A worker has been injured after becoming trapped under a heap of pallets at a Brisbane worksite this afternoon.

Queensland Ambulance Service crews, including high acuity response paramedics and critical care paramedics, attended the scene in Salisbury, south of Brisbane’s CBD around 2pm.

Paramedics worked to treat the injured worker for severe head and leg injuries after what is understood to be an incident involving a forklift.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed the worker was a male but did not provide any further details.

Paramedics transported the worker to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
