One worker is dead and another has been airlifted to hospital after a workplace incident at a property in Cathundral, approximately 112 kilometres west of Dubbo, on Thursday last week.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 4:30 pm after reports of a man and woman found unconscious in a water tank that had been used to store fertiliser.
A critical response team was dispatched to the property.
It is understood that the woman climbed into the tank to assist the man, but lost consciousness soon after.
She was treated on-site by paramedics and taken to Trangie Hospital and was from there transported to Orange Hospital by air for further treatment.
The male worker was declared deceased at the scene.
Detectives from Orana Mid-Western Police District attended the scene and SafeWork NSW has been notified of the incident.
