Worker killed in tractor incident

A primary producer has been killed in an incident involving a tractor in the far north of South Australia.

Police and ambulance services were called to the property at Stirling North, east of Port Augusta on Thursday of last week, around midday.

Emergency services worker on the man, a 71-year-old worker but he was unable to be revived. Early reports indicate the man was crushed when the tractor rolled on top of him.

Major Crash Investigators from South Australia Police attended the scene to establish the circumstances around the accident.

SafeWork South Australia has also confirmed that they are investigating.
