Hollywood legend John Travolta recently made an appearance as a guest of honour at a fundraising dinner at Sylvania’s Doltone House, the Biaggio Signorelli Asbestos Foundation function during National Asbestos Awareness Month.
The intimate gathering was hosted by Paul Signorelli, Nina Milazzo and Anna Cesarano, siblings and founders of the Foundation at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf.
Paul Signorelli, Chairman of the Foundation said Mr Travolta’s support for their cause was greatly appreciated.
“We cannot thank John Travolta enough for supporting a cause that is so close to our hearts. His presence exceeded every expectation we had,” Mr Signorelli said.
The Biaggio Signorelli Asbestos Foundation was founded by the Signorelli siblings to honour their father, who passed away from asbestos-related cancer in May of 2008. The foundation aims to raise awareness and subsequently improve rates of early detection, treatment and a cure of mesothelioma.
